Salary: $90,000.00 - $100,000 per year + benefits

Position Overview:

We're excited to announce that we’re looking for a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team and provide vital mental health care in a correctional facility. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to conduct assessments, make diagnoses, and offer meaningful treatment for individuals facing mental health challenges. You'll also play an essential part in crisis intervention and help connect individuals with additional resources when needed. We can't wait to find someone passionate about making a difference!

Job Duties:
  • Provide individuals, couples, and families with therapy session in person and deal with their life challenges, relationship issues, and mental health concerns
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in compliance with HIPAA and state regulations
  • Educate and involve family members or other loved ones in the treatment process when necessary
  • Establish and maintain effective and mutually respectful relationships with professionals and support staff
  • Collaborate with other clinicians, community organizations, and support services to ensure comprehensive care
  • Intervene as an advocate for patients to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations
  • Participate in regular team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development
  • Manage a caseload of clients, maintaining an appropriate number of sessions per week
Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy
  • Valid license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California
  • Knowledge of LMFT ethics and scope of practice
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to respond calmly and effectively in crisis situations
  • Skill at writing documentation that is timely, meaningful, complete, legible, grammatically correct, concise, and consistent with legal and administrative standards
  • Knowledge of ethical guidelines, confidentiality, and HIPAA regulations
