Position: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Compensation: $80,000 to $90,000 + Benefits
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to provide virtual mental health support to individuals, couples, and families across Iowa. This role offers the flexibility of working from home while making a meaningful impact through secure telehealth platforms.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual, couples, and family therapy via a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform

Assess clients’ family dynamics, relationship patterns, and past trauma to inform treatment planning

Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to individual, couple, or family needs

Provide immediate crisis support and coordinate with local crisis services if necessary

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system

Educate clients and families on communication strategies, boundary setting, and behavioral techniques to improve daily functioning

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and collaborate on care plans
Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy

Active, unrestricted LMFT licensure in Iowa

In-depth understanding of California’s legal and ethical standards governing therapy and mental health services

Have a strong clinical background, including experience in therapy for individuals, couples, and families

Ability to respond calmly and effectively in crisis situations

Flexibility in working with a wide range of client issues, including mental health disorders, relationship issues, and family dynamics

Knowledge of ethical guidelines, confidentiality, and HIPAA regulations
