Urgent Hiring Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

Location: Los Angeles, California

Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified Licensed Marriage and Family. The primary focus of the LMFT is to provide unparalleled clinical service through the delivery of prompt and empathetic care. You will provide a wide range of services in support of multidisciplinary teams with an emphasis on outpatient practices.

Salary: $90,000.00 - $100,000 per year + benefits

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday - Friday (9 AM – 5 PM)

This position are a Quick start. You must be available to start immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, and provides clinical treatment interventions such as brief counseling, group therapy, and individual counseling.
  • Consult and collaborate with other disciplines for the care and treatment of patients and participates in interdisciplinary care planning and coordination.
  • Performs assessments that assist with and facilitates transitional care planning and coordination that links patients with community resources and services
  • Conduct assessments to determine appropriate level of intervention, education, and counseling services within the context of marriage, couples and family systems as well as individual biopsychosocial dimensions with specific solution-focused, attainable therapeutic goals
  • Provides education and counseling services to individuals that encourage the development of life skills and strategies for coping and confronting issues
  • Review patient files, gathers data, and completes reports and other required documentation.
  • Make recommendations to the care teams, effectively communicates, and collaborates with the patient and all disciplines involved in the care of the patients
  • Document and evaluate patients’ progress with programming and facilitates discharges and transfers in coordination with other treatment and rehabilitative programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to develop effective rapport and working therapeutic alliances with patients
  • Skill writing clear and complete clinical notes and summaries of clinical evaluations
  • Skills and experience documenting/charting to ensure current and accurate medical records are entered and documented in patient files in accordance with established Medical Records policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of social work ethics and scope of practice
  • Ability to perform a complete mental status exam and recognize changes in mental status
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and mutually respectful relationship with professionals and support staff
  • Knowledge of pertinent current community resources, including income maintenance, mental health treatment, special education, residential and vocational supports
  • Ability to provide and maintain appropriate coordination of care with existing providers and/or variety of community agencies and demonstrate assertiveness, persistence, and diplomacy as advocate for patient
