Location: Ottumwa, Iowa

About the Role:
Our team in the state of Iowa is looking for a full-time therapist to join our growing multi-disciplinary team! Our mission is to design and deliver life-changing care – one child, one family, one community at a time.
In this role, you'll provide counseling services to children, parents, siblings, and other caregivers while working as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
What will you do?
- Deliver direct client counseling services to families, couples, and children (patients, their parents, siblings, and/or other stakeholders) through telehealth.
- Utilize empirically supported therapeutic approaches that draw from a variety of disciplines and are tailored to the needs of each client.
- Document patient records accurately and thoroughly by facility and licensing standards
- Participate in clinical team meetings every week and engage with community organizations.
- Provide crisis counseling as needed and outreach counseling to community settings such as schools, home visits, and other settings as assigned by the Director of Behavioral Health.
- Provide specialized counseling groups or classes for adjustment to illness, adjustment to pain, parenting classes, depression, grief, anger management, teen issues, or other topics within the scope of license and training.
- Participate in weekly case review meetings.
We'd love to hear from you if:
- You hold a master's degree or doctorate in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.
- You possess a current unrestricted license to practice independently as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Iowa
- You are well-grounded and knowledgeable in a variety of empirically supported psychotherapy treatment approaches, including, but not limited to, cognitive and behavioral, postmodern/post-structural, social-constructionism, and narrative therapy.
- You bring 1+ years of experience working with children or families with developmental differences in a counseling environment.
- You have strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- You possess the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
