We are currently seeking a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our growing team. As an LMFT, you will play an integral role in providing mental health services to individuals, couples, and families who are experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. You will work with a diverse client population in a supportive, collaborative team environment while delivering personalized therapeutic care in an outpatient setting. Who Are You:
- Education: Master’s degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Current, unrestricted license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Georgia.
- Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience providing therapy in an outpatient or clinical setting preferred.
- Specializations: Experience with trauma, family therapy, adolescent therapy, or couples counseling is a plus.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, the ability to develop and implement treatment plans, and experience with crisis management.
- Commitment to Ethical Practice: Demonstrated ability to adhere to ethical guidelines, confidentiality laws, and best practices in clinical care.
- Cultural Competence: A commitment to providing culturally sensitive and inclusive therapy, respecting the diverse backgrounds and identities of all clients.
What You’ll Do:
- Individual and Family Therapy: Provide therapy for individuals, couples, and families struggling with relationship issues, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and other mental health concerns.
- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide diagnostic evaluations in accordance with best practice standards.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), structural family therapy, and solution-focused therapy, to meet the unique needs of each client.
- Collaboration and Coordination of Care: Work alongside other mental health professionals (psychiatrists, social workers, etc.) to coordinate client care, ensuring a holistic and integrated treatment approach.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with state regulations, ethical standards, and clinic policies.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention services when necessary, ensuring clients are supported during times of acute distress.
- Supervision and Mentorship (if applicable): Provide supervision and mentorship to clinical interns and less experienced clinicians, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.
- Professional Development: Stay informed about the latest research, therapeutic approaches, and trends in the mental health field, participating in continuing education and training.
