Full-time Medical Assistant Needed at City Cardiology in Findlay, OH.

As a Medical Assistant, you will play an integral role in supporting our physicians and contributing to the seamless operation of our advanced healthcare facility.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Occasional weekends or evenings may be required for special events or emergencies


You will join our thriving outpatient clinic specializing in internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, and various other medical fields. Our facility serves as a hub for innovation and collaboration, fostering a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will work alongside a cohesive team of accomplished physicians, nurses, and support staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently perform administrative responsibilities, including managing patient appointments, meticulously updating electronic health records (EHR) systems, and maintaining accurate medical charts.
  • Warmly greet patients, competently gather their comprehensive medical history, and effectively prepare them for examinations or treatments, ensuring their comfort and understanding.
  • Provide indispensable assistance to physicians during patient examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries, demonstrating exemplary knowledge of medical equipment and ensuring a sterile and organized environment.
  • Diligently collect and expertly prepare specimens for laboratory testing, meticulously labeling and documenting them with precision and adherence to established protocols.
  • Skillfully administer medications, including injections, under the direct guidance of physicians, prioritizing patient safety and strict adherence to dosage instructions and medical protocols.
  • Conduct basic laboratory tests, including urinalysis, blood glucose monitoring, and electrocardiograms (EKGs), skillfully interpreting and documenting results with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Enlighten patients on medication usage, procedures, and general healthcare guidelines, employing exceptional communication skills to facilitate comprehension and foster patient autonomy.
  • Skillfully perform routine patient care tasks, such as vital sign measurements, height and weight assessments, and meticulous documentation of patient information, ensuring the highest level of accuracy.
  • Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and orderliness in examination rooms, meticulously sterilizing instruments, and maintaining optimal inventory levels of medical supplies.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with fellow healthcare professionals to facilitate coordinated patient care, actively participating in interdepartmental communication and contributing to the delivery of comprehensive treatment plans.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED); completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is highly preferred.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) from a recognized certification body such as the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from American Medical Technologists (AMT).
  • Exceptional knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and fundamental pharmacology, reflecting a comprehensive understanding of healthcare practices.
  • Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other medical software, ensuring accurate and efficient documentation of patient care.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective and compassionate interaction with patients, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Remarkable ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, consistently delivering exemplary performance under pressure.
  • Keen attention to detail and unwavering commitment to accuracy while performing clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring the highest quality of patient care.
  • Demonstrated adherence to ethical standards and unwavering commitment to patient confidentiality, in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations.

Salary:

$35,000 to $45,000 per year.
