Job Responsibilities:

As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to medical billing, including:

  • Preparing and submitting accurate medical claims to insurance companies in a timely manner
  • Following up on unpaid claims and denials to ensure timely payment
  • Communicating with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing questions and issues
  • Maintaining patient and insurance information in our billing system and ensuring that it is up-to-date and accurate
  • Ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and other billing standards to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Collaborating with other members of our healthcare team to ensure that our billing processes are efficient and effective

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical billing
  • Proficiency in billing software and electronic health records
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding, and insurance billing procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
