We invite a dedicated Pain Management Physician with a strong background in cardiovascular health to join our team. You will play a vital role in coordinating care among specialists, ensuring that patients with both cardiovascular issues and pain disorders receive comprehensive management. Your collaboration with the healthcare team will be key to delivering integrated patient care and optimizing treatment strategies. Together, we can improve patient outcomes and enhance overall quality of life.
Salary:
- $300,000 - $400,000 per year, plus health insurance
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess pain levels, medical history, and psychosocial factors impacting their pain.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on the patient's specific pain conditions, incorporating both pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches.
- Perform interventional pain management procedures, such as nerve blocks, epidural injections, and joint injections, to provide targeted pain relief.
- Educate patients about their pain conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies, empowering them to actively participate in their care.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, psychologists, and primary care physicians, to ensure comprehensive pain management and address all aspects of the patient's health.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Active medical license to practice in the New York state where the position is located
- Minimum of 3 years relevant clinical experience in pain management, particularly in Cardiology.
- Board certification in Pain Medicine or a related specialty is highly desirable, demonstrating expertise and commitment to the field.
- Active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration for prescribing controlled substances.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interactions and collaboration with healthcare teams.
