General Cardiologist Opportunity

About the Role:
We are looking for a board-certified General Cardiologist to join our growing team in Bronx, NY. This role offers the opportunity to practice independently while collaborating with a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional cardiac care.
Key aspects of the role:
- No hospital rounding or hospital call required
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday, with scheduled office on-call hours (phone calls only)
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, and chronic illnesses, incorporating evidence-based practices and tailoring treatment plans to the patient's unique needs
- Order and interpret diagnostic procedures and studies, such as labs, echocardiograms, ECG, MRI, and CT, and initiate appropriate interventions based on the results
- Demonstrate competence while performing exercise stress tests and nuclear stress tests
- Prescribe and manage medications for cardiac disorders, adjusting dosages as necessary and monitoring for any adverse effects
- Provide patient education and counseling on disease management, medication adherence, lifestyle modifications, and prevention strategies
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
- Obtain continuing medical education credits necessary to maintain current licensure and board certification
- During scheduled office hours, cardiologists shall be available for all urgent assessments as part of the team
- Participates in unit/program level quality improvement processes and initiatives as well as customer service programs
- Functions within the defined scope of clinical practice as outlined by applicable state law, licensing, certification, regulations, institutional policy, and practice agreements
Pay: $400,000.00 - $500,000.00 per year
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited medical school
- Board-certified in Cardiology
- Valid and unrestricted New York state physician license, or ability to obtain
- Current and unrestricted DEA license
- Current ACLS certification
- Unrestricted ability to participate in Medicare and Medicaid, or other federal or state governmental programs
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Energetic, motivated, and collegial
- Strong clinical acumen, a commitment to evidence-based practice, and continuous professional development
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems, eClinicalWorks preferred
