Nurse Practitioner – Cardiovascular Medicine
An experienced Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in cardiovascular medicine and imaging is needed to join a dedicated cardiology team in Brooklyn. This full-time position offers the opportunity to play a key role in providing exceptional care to patients with heart conditions, including the administration and interpretation of stress tests. Collaboration with cardiology physicians will be essential to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Take detailed patient histories related to their chief complaints and medical visits.
- Perform comprehensive physical exams and document findings to evaluate patient health.
- Provide expert care to adults with cardiovascular concerns and conditions.
- Administer and supervise cardiac diagnostic tests to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, incorporating results into treatment plans.
- Diagnose cardiovascular conditions and create individualized care strategies for patients.
- Manage treatments for heart disease and provide preventative care for chronic conditions.
- Educate patients and families on cardiovascular health, prevention, and long-term management.
- Prescribe medications according to New York State and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and follow-up.
- Engage in continuous learning to stay current with advancements in cardiovascular medicine.
- Complete additional duties as required to support the team and patient care objectives.
Salary: $150,000 - $160,000 per year
Qualifications:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program.
- Graduated from a Nurse Practitioner program registered by the New York State Education Department.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in cardiovascular care.
- Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an approved New York State accrediting body (ANCC, AANP).
- Active, unencumbered New York State Nursing (RN) license.
- Active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or eligibility to enroll.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Microsoft Office.
