Position Overview

This full-time opportunity is ideal for an experienced general cardiologist eager to provide comprehensive, evidence-based cardiac care. The role involves working independently and as part of a team to ensure patients receive personalized, high-quality treatment. There is no hospital rounding or hospital call required, and office on-call duties are limited to scheduled phone consultations.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • On-Call: Scheduled office phone calls only
  • Salary: $400,000 – $450,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough physical examinations and create individualized treatment plans.
  • Diagnose and manage a range of acute, episodic, and chronic cardiac conditions.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including echocardiograms, ECGs, MRIs, and CT scans.
  • Conduct exercise and nuclear stress tests with accuracy and precision.
  • Prescribe and monitor medications, adjusting treatments as needed.
  • Educate patients on disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Coordinate patient care by consulting with specialists and referring providers when necessary.
  • Maintain compliance with licensing, certification, and institutional policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution
  • Board-certified in Cardiology
  • Valid and unrestricted Maryland physician license (or ability to obtain)
  • Current DEA license and ACLS certification
  • Unrestricted eligibility to participate in Medicare, Medicaid, and other government programs
  • Strong clinical judgment with a commitment to evidence-based practice
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (eClinicalWorks preferred)
