General Cardiologist – Greenbelt, MD

We are looking for a Board-Certified General Cardiologist to provide high-quality cardiac care in our private practice setting. This is a full-time, outpatient role with no hospital rounding or hospital call required.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Scheduled office on-call (phone only)
  • No nights, no weekends

About the Role

As a General Cardiologist, you’ll work independently and collaboratively to provide exceptional patient care. Your focus will be on diagnosing and managing a wide range of cardiac conditions while ensuring that patients receive personalized, evidence-based treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations and create individualized treatment plans.
  • Diagnose and manage acute, chronic, and episodic cardiac conditions.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including echocardiograms, ECGs, MRIs, and CT scans.
  • Perform and assess exercise and nuclear stress tests.
  • Prescribe and monitor cardiac medications, adjusting treatment as needed.
  • Educate patients on disease management, prevention, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Coordinate care with other healthcare providers and specialists as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification in Cardiology
  • Active or eligible Maryland medical license
  • DEA and ACLS certification
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (eClinicalWorks preferred)
  • Strong clinical acumen and commitment to evidence-based practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
