Full-time Pain Management Physicians Needed

We are seeking a Full-time Pain Management Physician to join our team. In this position, you will prioritize improving patients’ quality of life by managing pain linked to gastrointestinal disorders. Utilizing advanced pain management strategies, you will help patients cope with their conditions and enhance their overall well-being.

Salary:
  • $140 - $175 per hour
  • $300,000 - $400,000 per year, plus health insurance and pain practice insurance.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess pain levels, medical history, and psychosocial factors impacting their pain.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on the patient's specific pain conditions, incorporating both pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches.
  • Perform interventional pain management procedures, such as nerve blocks, epidural injections, and joint injections, to provide targeted pain relief.
  • Prescribe and manage medications for pain relief, monitoring patient responses and adjusting dosages as necessary to optimize outcomes while minimizing side effects.
  • Educate patients about their pain conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies, empowering them to actively participate in their care.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, psychologists, and primary care physicians, to ensure comprehensive pain management and address all aspects of the patient's health.
Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the New York state where the position is located, with no history of disciplinary actions.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant clinical experience in pain management, particularly in Gastroenterology.
  • Board certification in Pain Medicine or a related specialty is highly desirable, demonstrating expertise and commitment to the field.
  • Active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration for prescribing controlled substances.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interactions and collaboration with healthcare teams.
  • A commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and a desire to empower patients in their pain management journey.
