We are looking for a full-time geriatrician to maintain the well-being of patients and provide special treatments for the elderly at our facility. The responsibilities of geriatricians include diagnosing and treating illnesses, referring patients to specialists, and monitoring drug regimens.

To be successful as a geriatrician, you should demonstrate exceptional communication skills, empathy, and good judgment and decision-making skills.

Salary: $190,000 to $260,000 yearly

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical care to patients of all ages, with an emphasis on the elderly
  • Complete medical histories and physical examinations
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, from minor procedures to complex surgery
  • Write medical prescriptions, including medications, therapeutic diets, and therapeutic exercises
  • Evaluate and treat respiratory, cardiovascular, endocrine, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and blood diseases
  • Provide therapeutic and rehabilitative services, including patient and family education, pain management, and nutritional counseling
  • Provide patient and family advocacy services, such as counseling, case management, and psychological services

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification in Geriatrics or related specialty.
  • Active state medical license of physician practice.
  • Completed residency training and fellowship in Geriatrics.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and proficiency in geriatric medicine practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassion, empathy, and a patient-centered approach.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Strong diagnostic and critical thinking skills.
  • Dedication to staying updated with medical advancements and best practices.
