Full-time Internist Needed in a Private Practice in Chesapeake, VA

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional on-call responsibilities shared among the team.
Salary:
$250,000 and $320,000 per year base salary DOE plus bonus and full benefits + paid malpractice

Responsibilities:

Conducting comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessments.

Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients, employing evidence-based medicine and incorporating the latest medical advancements.

Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work, imaging studies, and specialized procedures, to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment decisions.

Prescribing and managing medications, therapies, and other treatment modalities to promote patient health and wellbeing.

Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including specialists, nurses, and support staff, to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.

Providing patient education and counseling on disease prevention, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications to optimize patient outcomes.

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational protocols.

Participating in medical research, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education to stay abreast of the latest developments in internal medicine.
Qualifications:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree

Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine.

Valid and unrestricted MD license in the state of practice.
