Full-time Internist Needed at Atlas Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL
The Atlas Medical Center provide comprehensive primary care and preventative care to an established panel of primary care patients, under the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model.
As part of the community, you will provide preventative medicine and medical care management for adult patients for acute and chronic medical condition. Responsible for the direct treatment, consultation and/or referral for patients' medical conditions as appropriate Management of patients includes following the clinical guidelines.
Work Schedule:
Work Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional shared on-call responsibilities among the team.
Salary:
Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases between $250,000 and $320,000, depending on experience (DOE). Additionally, a full benefit package with paid malpractice insurance and a bonus.

Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive primary care and preventative care to an established panel of primary care patients, under the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model
- Provides preventative medicine and medical care management for adult patients for acute and chronic medical condition
- The Physician is responsible for the direct treatment, consultation and/or referral for patients' medical conditions as appropriate management of patients includes following the clinical guidelines with documentation in the electronic medical record
- Works within a team of various health care staff to direct the resources needed to assist in the management of patients
- Performs an advanced, comprehensive and holistic health assessment, including a relevant health history and physical assessment
- Adapts assessment tools and techniques according to individual client needs, stage of development and cultural aspect
- Determines the need for, orders, performs, receives and interprets the appropriate diagnostic test
- Analyzes and synthesizes data from multiple sources to establish a differential and working diagnosis
- Analyzes and synthesizes data from multiple sources to identify and monitor a health situation
- Applies knowledge of pharmacology including pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and best practice standards in selecting, prescribing and monitoring drugs to treat conditions, diseases, disorders and injuries within the NP's scope of practice and clinical practice setting
- Communicates verbally and in writing, history, physical assessment findings, diagnosis, and treatment plan when indicated
- Communicates progress and treatment options with the client and other members of the team, when indicated
- Consults with other health care providers in an appropriate and timely manner
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine.
- Valid MD license in the state of practice.
- Excellent clinical abilities and knowledge of evidence-based medicine are displayed.
- competent in problem-solving, critical thinking, and medical decision-making.
- Interpersonal and communication abilities that are effective for connecting with patients and working with coworkers.
