Internal Medicine Physician working full-time for Hemisphere Health Medical Clinic in Wichita, KS

To become a part of a team of doctors who practice evidence-based medicine in a collaborative manner, we are looking to hire a full-time internal medicine or family medicine physician. The foundation gives doctors the newest tools and clinical assistance they need to concentrate on giving patients the best care possible.

Work Schedule:

  • From Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.,
  • Occasionally, team members share duties for being on call.

Salary:

$200K—$300K annually

Job Responsibilities:

  • Obtains medical history and conducts physical exams.

  • Provides each patient with diagnosis, treatment, counseling, and care coordination.

  • At each appointment, the problem list and the long-term care plan are reviewed and updated.

  • Complies with documentation guidelines and finishes all progress notes in a day after the patient visit.

  • Meets the deadlines set by ACCESS for on-call duties and returns calls in a timely manner, usually within twenty minutes.

  • As prescribed by Illinois statutes and professional practice guidelines, give medication.

  • Carries out all tasks in accordance with the clinical guidelines and quality criteria set forth by ACCESS.

  • Complies with Meaningful Use standards, which state that privacy and security must be maintained while employing certified EHR technology to enhance population and public health, improve care coordination, lower health disparities, and improve quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Effectively oversees the EHR In-Basket, assigns In-Basket duties to colleagues as needed, and replies to messages (such as lab results, prescription requests, patient calls, patient messages, co-sign orders, co-sign charts, and open charts) within a 72-hour timeframe.

Qualifications:

  • A doctor of medicine (M.D.) or doctor of osteopathy (D.O.) is necessary.
  • A primary care specialty residency must be completed, along with board certification.
  • It is preferred to have at least two (2) years of experience practicing primary care medicine in an outpatient setting.
  • Maintaining CME requirements and having current licenses in the states of Illinois, DEA, and controlled substances
  • It is necessary to have knowledge of the relevant laws, rules, and guidelines pertaining to infection control, safety, and quality assurance.
