Position available for Internal Medicine Physician (Internist) in Rockville Centre, NY

Job Description:

We are seeking for Full-time Internal Medicine Physician.The Physician shall provide high-quality medical care by examining patients and treating injuries, ailments, and diseases, as well as educating patients on the prevention and promotion of healthy habits.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (9am - 5pm)

Salary: $230k to $300k a year plus benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatments.
  • Prescribe appropriate pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatments to assess medical conditions.
  • Refer patients to specialists and relevant patient care components as appropriate.
  • Follow established departmental policies, procedures, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
  • Develop and recommend policies and procedures governing patient care to the Board of Directors per generally accepted standards of professional practice.
  • Responsible for supervising the quality assurance program and reporting the program's activities to the Board of Directors.
  • Provide appropriate supervision and/or serve as a collaborating physician for Advanced Practice Providers
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Must have Active and current New York State medical license (MD)
  • Current Board certification
  • Medical doctor with 3+ years of directly related experience.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
