- Patient Care: Diagnose, treat, and manage complex medical conditions in adult patients, including chronic diseases, acute illnesses, and comorbidities.
- Clinical Expertise: Conduct thorough medical evaluations and physical exams, interpret diagnostic tests, and create individualized treatment plans.
- Chronic Disease Management: Monitor and manage long-term conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, COPD, heart disease, and autoimmune disorders.
- Health Promotion and Preventive Care: Advocate for preventive health strategies through patient education, including lifestyle modification, screenings, vaccinations, and early disease detection.
- Collaboration: Work with specialists, healthcare providers, and support staff to develop comprehensive care plans that ensure holistic patient management.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on medical conditions, treatment options, medication management, and lifestyle changes for optimal health.
- Recordkeeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with regulatory standards, including documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans.
- Continuity of Care: Provide consistent, continuous care to patients, building long-term relationships that foster trust and patient satisfaction.
- Quality Improvement: Engage in quality assurance activities, including patient outcome tracking, feedback, and contributing to ongoing improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine.
- Valid California medical license (or eligibility for licensure).
- A commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based care.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Previous experience in an internal medicine setting is preferred but not required.
- BLS and ACLS certification required (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
