Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician – Pain Management
Job Summary: A dynamic opportunity awaits a Pain Management/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to join our practice in New York. This role is focused on delivering precise diagnosis and customized treatment plans for patients in need of pain management. You will utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques to provide quick, effective pain relief while ensuring the highest standard of care and optimal patient outcomes.
Job Type: Full Time
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive assessment and treatment for both elective and urgent consultations.
- Treat patients in alignment with best practice standards and regulatory requirements.
- Administer evidence-based medical and/or interventional pain management tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Perform interventions using fluoroscopy or ultrasound as necessary.
- Collaborate with paramedical clinicians and other specialists for multidisciplinary pain management.
- Report regularly to the Medical Director, while maintaining close collaboration with the Clinic Manager, Executive Team, and Patient Access Team.
- Engage in continuous professional development as required by relevant regulatory bodies.
- Participate in team meetings, educational events, and social activities within the clinic.
- Complete medical documentation and visit claims using the clinic's electronic medical record (EMR) system in a timely and professional manner.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Other duties may include teaching, research, educational presentations, expert opinion report preparation, independent medicolegal consulting, and administrative tasks.
Salary: $400K per year, including health insurance and paid malpractice insurance
Qualifications:
- M.D. Degree
- Board Certification in Pain Management or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)
- Open to New Grads
- Must hold an active NYS MD license and be eligible to obtain NY registration/licensing
- DEA certification
- Preferred in-network status with Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Insurances
- Strong diplomacy, conflict resolution, and people management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with patients, clinical staff, and the management team
- Personable with a positive bedside manner
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to respond to questions from the Management Team
- Ability to foster strong, professional relationships with patients and staff
