• Job Type: Full-Time
• Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
• Salary: $160,000–$180,000 per year

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history, physical exams, and diagnostic assessments.
• Work closely with supervising physicians to create tailored pain management plans, utilizing both pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches.
• Assist with interventional procedures such as joint and trigger point injections, nerve blocks, and other pain relief techniques.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (X-rays, MRIs, lab studies) to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Educate patients on pain management strategies, medication usage, and lifestyle modifications to improve their quality of life.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Participate in team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing education to stay current with advancements in pain management.
• Navigate insurance processes to ensure smooth service approvals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current New York state licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant
• DEA certification
• Preferred experience in pain management or orthopedics
• Proficiency in conducting physical exams, interpreting diagnostic tests, and diagnosing conditions
• Experience in interventional pain procedures (such as injections and nerve blocks) is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• A patient-centered approach and a commitment to high-quality care
