Location: Santa Ana, California
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $250,000 – $300,000 per year + benefits
About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled Pain Management Physician to join our dedicated team in California. Join us in making a real difference in the lives of patients who rely on our expertise to manage and alleviate their pain. The Pain Management Physician will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with acute and chronic pain conditions. This role involves utilizing various therapeutic interventions, including medication management, interventional procedures, and physical therapy coordination, to help patients regain their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical exams, and diagnostic tests, to determine the source and nature of pain.
- Develop and implement personalized pain management plans, including pharmacologic treatments, interventional procedures (e.g., nerve blocks, spinal injections), and complementary therapies.
- Manage patients with long-term pain conditions such as back pain, fibromyalgia, neuropathic pain, and complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS).
- Perform minimally invasive interventional pain procedures, including epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, and spinal cord stimulation, among others.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, psychologists, and other specialists, to provide holistic and coordinated patient care.
- Educate patients on pain management techniques, medication use, lifestyle changes, and coping strategies.
- Track patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and ensure that patients receive appropriate follow-up care.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, or Pain Medicine (ABPM or equivalent).
- Valid medical license to practice in California.
- Previous experience in pain management or a related specialty is preferred.
- Strong understanding of pain pathophysiology, pharmacology, and interventional techniques.
- Proficiency in performing interventional procedures (e.g., nerve blocks, epidural injections, spinal injections).
- Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on improving patients' quality of life.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- BLS/ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
