About the Role:

We’re looking for a skilled Pain Management Physician to join our team and make a tangible difference in the lives of our patients. As a Pain Management Physician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions, focusing on delivering individualized care that reduces pain and improves overall functionality. You will utilize both pharmacologic and interventional approaches, offering cutting-edge treatment options like nerve blocks, spinal injections, and regenerative therapies while working closely with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth assessments of patients with acute and chronic pain conditions, taking a holistic approach to identify underlying causes and creating personalized treatment plans.
  • Perform interventional pain management techniques such as epidural injections, facet joint injections, radiofrequency ablation, and spinal cord stimulation to alleviate pain.
  • Provide pharmacologic treatments, including opioids, non-opioid medications, and adjunctive therapies, and carefully monitor their effectiveness while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Address complex, long-term pain conditions, including musculoskeletal pain, neuropathic pain, and cancer-related pain, helping patients improve mobility, independence, and quality of life.
  • Worke as part of a multidisciplinary team, coordinating with physical therapists, psychologists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive care tailored to the needs of each patient.
  • Educate patients and their families on pain management techniques, including lifestyle changes, physical therapy, and non-pharmacological therapies to manage pain.
  • Ensure appropriate follow-up care to monitor treatment outcomes, adjusting interventions as necessary to achieve the best results for patients.

Qualifications:

  • Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Pain Medicine, Anesthesiology, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R).
  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in New York State.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in pain management or a related specialty preferred, but we welcome exceptional new graduates as well.
  • Strong proficiency in interventional pain procedures (nerve blocks, epidural injections, etc.).
  • Thorough understanding of pain pathophysiology and treatment options.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with patients.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive Compensation (commensurate with experience)
  • Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid Time Off: Generous PTO, sick leave, and paid holidays
  • Retirement Plans: 401(k) with employer matching
  • Professional Development: CME allowance and paid licensing fees
  • Work-Life Balance: Flexible scheduling options and minimal on-call requirements
