Hiring Full-Time Pain Management Physician
Position: Pain Management Physician
Location: Pikesville, Maryland
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $250,000 – $300,000 per year + benefits
About the Role:
We are currently seeking a skilled Pain Management Physician to join our team and provide comprehensive pain management services to our growing patient base. As a Pain Management Physician, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with a wide range of pain conditions, including musculoskeletal pain, neuropathic pain, and cancer-related pain. You will utilize a combination of interventional procedures, pharmacologic management, and complementary treatments to help patients manage their pain and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough medical histories, physical exams, and diagnostic tests to accurately assess and diagnose patients' pain conditions.
- Perform advanced interventional procedures such as epidural injections, facet joint injections, nerve blocks, and spinal cord stimulation to alleviate pain and restore function.
- Develop individualized pharmacologic treatment plans, including the use of opioids, non-opioid medications, and adjunct therapies, ensuring appropriate monitoring and minimizing risk.
- Manage long-term pain conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, neuropathic pain, and musculoskeletal disorders, emphasizing holistic treatment approaches.
- Educate patients on pain management techniques, including lifestyle modifications, physical therapy, stress reduction strategies, and non-invasive treatments.
- Work closely with physical therapists, psychologists, nurses, and other specialists to provide well-rounded care, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive treatment.
- Track patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. Provide regular follow-up care and adjust pain management strategies based on patient needs.
Qualifications:
- Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Pain Medicine, Anesthesiology, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R).
- Licensure: Valid, unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Maryland.
- Experience: Previous experience in pain management, anesthesiology, or interventional pain management preferred; new graduates with a passion for pain medicine will also be considered.
- Expertise in interventional procedures such as epidural injections, nerve blocks, and spinal cord stimulation.
- Proficiency in developing comprehensive pain management plans, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches.
- Additional Certifications: Fellowship in Pain Medicine or Interventional Pain Management is a plus
