Pain Management Physician – Transform Lives in a Leading Colorado Practice

Location: Durango, Colorado | Specialty: Pain Management | Employment Type: Full-Time | Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9AM- 5 PM

Are you a compassionate, skilled Pain Management Physician seeking a role where you can make a profound impact on patient lives? We are currently recruiting a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pain Management Physician to join a thriving, multidisciplinary team dedicated to restoring function, reducing pain, and improving the quality of life for patients across Colorado.

This opportunity is ideal for a dynamic provider who values personalized care, interprofessional collaboration, and access to advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies.

Compensation: $280,000-$300,000 per year + benefits

Job Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with acute and chronic pain conditions, including musculoskeletal, neuropathic, and cancer-related pain
  • Develop individualized treatment plans integrating interventional, pharmacological, rehabilitative, and behavioral therapies
  • Utilize EMR systems (e.g., Epic) for accurate, timely, and compliant charting
  • Ensure all diagnostic and procedural notes meet CMS and regulatory standards
  • Participate in quality reporting (MACRA/MIPS) and outcome tracking as part of value-based care models
  • Participate in research, teaching, or mentoring medical students, residents, or fellows (depending on practice setting)
  • Help shape protocols, clinical pathways, and new service lines
  • Contribute to program development and community outreach initiatives

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, or Neurology, with fellowship training in Pain Medicine
  • Active or eligible for Colorado medical license
  • Skilled in interventional pain procedures (fluoroscopy and/or ultrasound-guided)
  • Strong communication and patient education skills
  • Experience with multi-modal pain management preferred
