Job Title: Full-Time Pain Management Physician – Hospital-Based Practice (Yuma , Arizona)
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pain Medicine Physician with a background in Anesthesiology, PM&R, Neurology, or Psychiatry and fellowship training in Pain Medicine. You will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a wide spectrum of pain disorders while working within a collaborative hospital-based team.
This role offers a unique blend of inpatient consults, outpatient interventional procedures, and team-based care coordination, supported by advanced equipment and a dedicated clinical staff.
Job Type: Full Time
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM
Compensation: $400,000 per year + benefits
Clinical Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions including neuropathic, musculoskeletal, post-surgical, and cancer-related pain.
- Perform interventional procedures including but not limited to epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulation trials, and intrathecal pump management.
- Coordinate care with primary care providers, orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, physical therapists, and behavioral health specialists.
- Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies.
- Educate patients and families about pain management strategies, medication safety, and functional goals.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, patient education programs, and clinical team development.
- Utilize the hospital’s Electronic Health Record (Epic preferred) for comprehensive documentation.
- Participate in peer case reviews, hospital committee work, and CME activities
Requirements:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified/Eligible in Pain Medicine (via ABPM, ABA, ABPMR, or equivalent)
- Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Arizona (or ability to obtain)
- DEA and state-controlled substance registration
- Fellowship training in Pain Medicine (required)
- Strong procedural skillset and proficiency in fluoroscopy-guided and ultrasound-guided techniques
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a team-based approach to care
