Full-time and Part-time Pediatrician Needed at Little Ones Pediatrics in Waterbury, CT
As a General Pediatrician at Little Ones Pediatrics, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents. Your primary duties will include conducting routine check-ups, diagnosing and treating various illnesses, monitoring growth and development, and offering preventive healthcare guidance to parents and caregivers.
You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of pediatric patients and maintain accurate medical records. This role requires exceptional communication skills, empathy, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services to young patients.
Schedule:
8 am-5 pm M-F, occasional weekends, and evenings
Responsibilities:
- Consult with patients to obtain their medical history and the reason for their visit.
- Perform patient assessments and administer appropriate treatment.
- Recommend additional wellness treatments.
- Create comprehensive wellness plans that focus on each individual’s specific needs.
- Promote a healthy lifestyle with advice on sleep, exercise, and diet.
- Maintain detailed records of patient information.
- Refer to specialists or other professionals as needed.
Qualifications:
- Medical Degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Pediatrics.
- Valid and unrestricted medical state license.
- 2+ years of experience in pediatric medicine, preferably in a clinical setting.
- Proficiency in conducting pediatric patient assessments and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Extensive knowledge of various areas of Pediatrics, including but not limited to general pediatrics, neonatology, pediatric cardiology, and pediatric neurology.
- Strong understanding of growth and development milestones for children of different age groups.
- Ability to create customized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with patients, parents, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Detail-oriented and organized, ensuring accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the comprehensive care of pediatric patients.
- Dedication to staying updated with the latest advancements in pediatric medicine and evidence-based practices through continuing education and professional development.
