Full-time and Part-time Pediatrician Needed at Babysteps Pediatrics in Waterbury, CT
As a Pediatric Specialist here at Babysteps Pediatrics, you will focus on providing specialized medical care and treatment to pediatric patients with specific health conditions or needs.
Your responsibilities will include conducting specialized examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
You will serve as a subject matter expert in your chosen specialty, offering consultation and guidance to general pediatricians and other healthcare professionals. Your expertise and dedication to pediatric care will contribute significantly to the well-being of young patients.
Schedule:
8 am-5 pm M-F, occasional weekends, and evenings
Responsibilities:
- Consult with patients to obtain their medical history and the reason for their visit.
- Perform patient assessments and administer appropriate treatment.
- Recommend additional wellness treatments.
- Create comprehensive wellness plans that focus on each individual’s specific needs.
- Promote a healthy lifestyle with advice on sleep, exercise, and diet.
- Maintain detailed records of patient information.
- Refer to specialists or other professionals as needed.
Qualifications:
- Medical Degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Pediatrics.
- Valid and unrestricted medical state license.
- 2+ years of experience in pediatric medicine, preferably in a clinical setting.
- Proficiency in conducting pediatric patient assessments and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Extensive knowledge of various areas of Pediatrics, including but not limited to general pediatrics, neonatology, pediatric cardiology, and pediatric neurology.
- Strong understanding of growth and development milestones for children of different age groups.
- Ability to create customized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with patients, parents, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Detail-oriented and organized, ensuring accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the comprehensive care of pediatric patients.
- Dedication to staying updated with the latest advancements in pediatric medicine and evidence-based practices through continuing education and professional development.
