Seeking Full-Time Pediatrician at Horizon Heart Pediatrics Hospital.

The Pediatrician plays a crucial role in promoting and maintaining health by delivering medical services to patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care in inpatient and/or outpatient settings, ensuring comprehensive injury care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
  • Assess patient health through interviews, physical examinations, and review of medical histories.
  • Diagnose injuries or illnesses and institute therapy or referrals to appropriate healthcare facilities, agencies, or community resources.
  • Determine normal conditions through diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies, interpreting test results.
  • Evaluate patient data to determine appropriate management and treatment.
  • Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
  • Institute emergency measures and appropriate stabilization measures in critical situations.
  • Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures, including administering injections and immunizations, suturing, managing wounds, and treating infections.

Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic (D.O.).
  • Graduate of an accredited residency program in family medicine, internal medicine/pediatrics, or pediatrics.
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the State.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience as a practicing clinician or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be board certified at hire and expected to maintain appropriate board certification, licensure, and membership in professional organizations.

Salary:

  • $220,000-$300,000 per year.
