We are Hiring a Full-time Pediatricians in California!
We are seeking a board-certified Pediatrician to join our expanding primary care team and provide patients with high-quality treatment and diagnostic services. This is an established practice that’s looking to improve access to health care for underserved communities in the area. You will be part of a dedicated team in California.
Salary: $220,000 - $300,000 annually
Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Provide quality primary wellness and sick care to pediatric patients in an efficient manner.
- Practice medicine within quality standards.
- Perform routine medical duties (complete and lock medical notes, review laboratory results, address telephone encounters and correct billing claims) in an efficient and well-organized manner.
- Collaborate with external healthcare providers as necessary to make appropriate medical decisions.
- Perform routine medical administrative duties in an efficient, well-organized manner.
- Participate in various team and provider meetings.
- Participate in projects and/or policy initiatives for its community!
- Participate in Saturday Clinics as needed.
- Participate in the Clinic’s on-call schedule.
- Coordinate the transferring of patients to emergency facilities and arrange for hospitalization as needed.
- Provide consultation and education to patients and/or parents and staff to increase the quality of patient care.
- Participate in inter-departmental meetings as needed.
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement Plan
- Perform other duties determined as necessary by the Administrative Medical Director and EVP, Medicine.
Qualifications:
- Education and/or Experience– Must possess a M.D. or D.O. degree and a current license to practice Medicine in California. A board certification and/or eligibility in Pediatrics are preferable.
- A minimum of two (2) years of practicing pediatrics medicine in a community health clinic environment and/or experience in working with immigrant or poor populations in a maternal/child healthcare setting highly desirable. A thorough understanding and knowledge of patient confidentiality issues and HIPAA compliance/regulations are essential.
- Physical Demands– Regularly required to sit; frequently required to reach with hands and arms, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear; must be able to lift objects up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
- Work Environment– Mostly in a typical outpatient medical office/clinic setting with quiet to moderate noise level. May be exposed to potentially hazardous blood-borne/respiratory pathogens and bodily fluids which require the practice of Universal Precaution procedures.
