Looking For Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R MD) in Emerald Health Medical Center
Our focus is to support patient care, research, and education by providing clinical care, engaging in clinical research, and mentoring residents, medical students, and other healthcare trainees. This includes offering general rehabilitation services on an outpatient basis.
We strive to improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities by maximizing their independence in daily life and work through innovative education, evidence-supported research, and patient-centered care approaches.
Highlights of the Job:
- Setting: Part Time, 20-24 hours per week
- Available Shifts: Mon-Fri: 10am-7pm, Sunday: 10am-4pm
Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe and administer appropriate medications
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
- Utilize imaging equipment such as MRI/CT/X-ray scanners for diagnosis
- Document patient interactions using electronic health records like Epic
Required Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree or equivalent and board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
- Effective oral and written communication and leadership skills
- Strong clinical and academic credentials
- Demonstrated ability to establish clinical initiatives
Salary:
$300,000-$400,000 per year.
