Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician – Pain Management

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity is available for a Pain Management/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to join our practice in New York. This role focuses on delivering precise diagnoses and tailored treatment plans to support patients in managing pain effectively. You’ll leverage advanced therapeutic techniques to provide rapid, effective relief while maintaining the highest standard of care and achieving optimal patient outcomes.

Job Type: Full Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide treatment for both elective and urgent consultations.
  • Deliver care in alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize evidence-based medical and interventional pain management approaches tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Perform procedures using fluoroscopy or ultrasound guidance, as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with paramedical clinicians and specialists in a multidisciplinary approach to pain management.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Medical Director and collaborate with the Clinic Manager, Executive Team, and Patient Access Team.
  • Stay updated with professional development requirements mandated by regulatory bodies.
  • Participate in team meetings, educational initiatives, and clinic events.
  • Accurately document medical notes and submit claims using the clinic's electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Engage in activities such as teaching, research, educational presentations, independent medicolegal consulting, and other administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree
  • Board certification in Pain Management or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)
  • Active New York State medical license (or eligibility to obtain one)
  • DEA certification
  • Open to new graduates
  • Preferred: In-network status with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurers
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with patients, staff, and management
  • Positive bedside manner with a personable approach
  • Strong conflict resolution, diplomacy, and people management skills
  • Proficiency in presenting and addressing questions in a professional setting
