Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician – Pain Management

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pain Management/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to join our thriving practice in New York. This position focuses on providing comprehensive pain management through precise diagnosis and personalized treatment plans. The ideal candidate will leverage a range of therapeutic techniques to ensure effective pain relief, uphold the highest standards of care, and optimize patient outcomes.

Job Type: Full-Time
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for elective and urgent consultations.
  • Deliver care in compliance with best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Administer evidence-based medical and interventional pain management strategies.
  • Perform procedures utilizing fluoroscopy or ultrasound guidance as needed.
  • Collaborate with paramedical clinicians and other specialists to deliver multidisciplinary pain management.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Medical Director and coordinate closely with the Clinic Manager, Executive Team, and Patient Access Team.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of medical documentation and visit claims in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development programs, and clinic social activities.
  • Stay updated with industry advancements and fulfill continuing education requirements.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Engage in activities such as teaching, research, educational presentations, medicolegal consulting, and administrative tasks, as needed.

Compensation

  • Salary: $400,000 per year
  • Includes health insurance and paid malpractice insurance

Qualifications

  • M.D. degree with active NYS MD licensure (or eligibility for NY registration/licensing).
  • Board Certification in Pain Management or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R).
  • DEA certification required.
  • Open to new graduates.
  • Preferred: In-network status with Medicare, Medicaid, and major commercial insurance providers.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with patients, clinical staff, and management teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a positive bedside manner, and the ability to foster professional relationships.
  • Demonstrated skills in diplomacy, conflict resolution, and people management.
  • Ability to deliver presentations and respond effectively to management inquiries.
