Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pain Management/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to join our thriving practice in New York. This position focuses on providing comprehensive pain management through precise diagnosis and personalized treatment plans. The ideal candidate will leverage a range of therapeutic techniques to ensure effective pain relief, uphold the highest standards of care, and optimize patient outcomes.
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for elective and urgent consultations.
- Deliver care in compliance with best practices and regulatory standards.
- Administer evidence-based medical and interventional pain management strategies.
- Perform procedures utilizing fluoroscopy or ultrasound guidance as needed.
- Collaborate with paramedical clinicians and other specialists to deliver multidisciplinary pain management.
- Maintain regular communication with the Medical Director and coordinate closely with the Clinic Manager, Executive Team, and Patient Access Team.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of medical documentation and visit claims in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development programs, and clinic social activities.
- Stay updated with industry advancements and fulfill continuing education requirements.
Additional Responsibilities
- Engage in activities such as teaching, research, educational presentations, medicolegal consulting, and administrative tasks, as needed.
Compensation
- Salary: $400,000 per year
- Includes health insurance and paid malpractice insurance
Qualifications
- M.D. degree with active NYS MD licensure (or eligibility for NY registration/licensing).
- Board Certification in Pain Management or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R).
- DEA certification required.
- Open to new graduates.
- Preferred: In-network status with Medicare, Medicaid, and major commercial insurance providers.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with patients, clinical staff, and management teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills, a positive bedside manner, and the ability to foster professional relationships.
- Demonstrated skills in diplomacy, conflict resolution, and people management.
- Ability to deliver presentations and respond effectively to management inquiries.
