As a Psychiatrist MD at our Center, your specialty and focus will be on providing comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction. You will play a crucial role in developing personalized recovery plans, implementing evidence-based therapies, and collaborating with the treatment team to support patients' journey to sobriety and improved mental well-being.

Schedule:
- Full-time, 40-hour workweek. Monday to Friday
- Flexibility may be required to accommodate evening or weekend appointments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing psychiatric care, monitor patients' progress, and make adjustments to treatment as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHRs) and documentation of client sessions and progress.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay informed about advancements in the field and maintain licensure requirements.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards, including maintaining confidentiality and obtaining informed consent from clients.
- Developing and implementing treatment plans, including medication management and therapeutic interventions.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential medical records in accordance with facility policies and regulations.
- Advocating for the mental health needs of inmates and working towards positive outcomes and reintegration opportunities.
- Collaborate with social workers, counselors, and other professionals to create a holistic approach to patient care.
- Participate in staff training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills in addiction psychiatry.
- Advocate for the integration of mental health services within substance abuse treatment programs.
- Engage in outreach and community involvement activities to promote mental health awareness and destigmatize seeking psychological help.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Psychiatry from an accredited institution.
- State licensure as a psychiatrist with an active and unrestricted license.
- Completion of a psychiatry residency program with a focus on addiction psychiatry is preferred.
- Experience in providing psychiatric care and treatment for individuals with substance use disorders.
- Strong commitment to promoting recovery and supporting patients' long-term well-being.
- Dedication to providing compassionate and non-judgmental care to individuals seeking treatment for substance abuse.
- Familiarity with the regulations and guidelines related to substance abuse treatment and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in prescribing medications for mental health and substance use disorders.
Salary:
- $120,000-160,000 per year based on qualifications, and experience.
