Full-time Nuclear Medicine Physician Needed at Adapt Ways Care Center in Kew Gardens, NY

Schedule:

  • Full-time position, approximately 40-45 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform and interpret nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including PET and SPECT scans, for various medical conditions.
  • Work closely with radiologic technologists and other specialists to ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures.
  • Analyze imaging results to provide precise diagnoses and treatment recommendations.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records, adhering to documentation protocols.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in nuclear medicine technology and techniques through ongoing professional development.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs to ensure imaging accuracy and patient safety.
  • Collaborate with referring physicians to communicate imaging findings and contribute to patient care plans.

Qualifications:

  • Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine
  • Residency Training: Physicians must have completed residency training in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification
  • Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery
  • Active state medical license and relevant certifications for nuclear medicine practice.
  • Proficiency in interpreting nuclear imaging results and translating findings into clinical context.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively discuss imaging findings with patients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and adherence to radiation safety guidelines.
  • Candidates will have considerable expertise in all aspects of clinical Nuclear Medicine, including general nuclear medicine, nuclear cardiology, radionuclide therapy, and hybrid molecular imaging (PET/CT, SPECT/CT)
  • Successful candidates should have experience with a variety of unsealed source radionuclide therapies in patients with various forms of cancer including thyroid, neuroendocrine, prostate, and liver tumors

Salary:

$500,000 - $600,000 per year
