Looking for Full-Time Urgent Care MD at Countryside Urgent Care in Killeen, TX

We are a high-quality primary care that provides healthcare to patients regardless of ability to pay. We provide health care to all members of our community, including low income, uninsured patients and diverse communities. The ideal candidate is a physician with Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine or Internal Medicine background. You will take care of patients of all ages for acute care, sudden illnesses, injuries and accidents. As a valuable member of our team, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating health conditions while promoting good health practices.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday

9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Review patient file/record, including allergies, problems, medications, and immunization status.
  • Elicit and record information about patients’ medical histories.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood tests and X-rays
  • Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans for chronic diseases
  • Interview patients concerning their symptoms and conduct a thorough physical examination.
  • Order or execute various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patients’ conditions.
  • Follow-up with patients regarding progress in high risk or emergency cases. Follow-up daily on laboratory tests and X-Rays
  • Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness
  • Maintain accurate and organized patient records and schedules
  • Educate patients and their families on diseases, epidemics, and preventive measures
  • Oversee the overall health and well-being of patients
  • Promote and encourage good health practices
  • Engage in continuous professional development and research
  • Attend staff meetings and offer suggestions. Listen to others with an open mind.
  • Maintain excellent verbal and communication skills. Be adaptable in different situations. Possess excellent client interaction skills. Be able to multi-task.
  • Exhibit Excellent Customer Service; be patient-centric and customer service oriented.

Requirements:

  • DEA license is required
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from accredited schools of medicine
  • Doctor of Osteopathy from an accredited medical institution required.
  • State license to practice medicine
  • Two years experience as a Physician in a clinic, ER, or urgent care setting
  • Expertise in primary care and acute care practices
  • ACLS/ATLS Certification preferred but not required
  • Thorough knowledge of health and patient care regulations
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Strong ethical values and commitment to patient-centered care
  • Team spirit and positive attitude for effective collaboration
  • Patience and cool-headedness in high-pressure situations
  • Willingness to continuously learn and gain clinical experience
  • Bilingual skills are a plus but not required

Salary:

$400,000-$600,000 per year + Full Benefits
