Urgent Care Physician Needed in Lakewood, New Jersey

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physicians to join our dynamic team. Whether you’re looking for a fast-paced clinical setting or a flexible schedule, we have a place for you.

As an Urgent Care Physician, you will provide immediate medical care to patients of all ages in a walk-in clinic setting. You will diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and non-life-threatening conditions, perform minor procedures, and collaborate with advanced practice providers and support staff.

Salary: $280,000-$300,000 per year + benefits

Work Hours: Monday - Friday (9 AM – 5 PM)

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a variety of illnesses and injuries in a timely and compassionate manner.
  • Perform minor procedures such as laceration repair, incision and drainage, splinting, and foreign body removal.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests including X-rays, EKGs, and lab work.
  • Provide oversight and supervision to nurse practitioners and physician assistants as needed.
  • Document patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Ensure high levels of patient satisfaction and clinical quality.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate with administrative and clinical leadership to optimize clinic operations.

Requirements:

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Internal Medicine.
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of New Jersey (or ability to obtain prior to start).
  • DEA license and CDS (Controlled Dangerous Substances) registration required.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or willingness to obtain).
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or outpatient primary care preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a patient-centered mindset.
