Urgent Care Physician Needed in Branford, Connecticut

Position Overview:

We are seeking experienced, board-certified or board-eligible Urgent Care Physicians (MD or DO) to join our dynamic clinical team. This is a highly autonomous role where you will manage a full scope of urgent and episodic conditions while collaborating with advanced practice providers and clinical support staff.

The Urgent Care Physician plays a central role in delivering prompt, evidence-based care for patients across the lifespan. You will manage a wide range of illnesses and injuries, perform in-office procedures, and help drive quality outcomes and operational efficiency.

Salary: $280,000-$300,000 per year + benefits
Work Hours: Monday - Friday (9 AM – 5 PM)

Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough patient evaluations, including histories, physical exams, and diagnostic assessments
  • Diagnose and manage a broad range of acute illnesses, minor injuries, infections, and chronic exacerbations
  • Supervise and collaborate with Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, EKGs, and labs
  • Prescribe appropriate medications in accordance with state and federal guidelines
  • Provide patient education and clear discharge instructions
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation within the EMR system
  • Support clinic flow and contribute to team-based care in a high-volume setting

Requirements:

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Connecticut (or ability to obtain)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
  • DEA license (active or pending)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a high-volume outpatient setting
  • Proficiency in common urgent care procedures
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
