Job Type:
Full-time position with regular business hours, occasional evenings, and flexibility during peak periods.
Job Setting:
Our university counseling center offers a dynamic and collaborative environment, working closely with students, faculty, and staff. You will primarily work on campus, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities and resources.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct intake assessments and screenings to evaluate students' mental health needs and determine appropriate treatment options.
- Provide short-term individual counseling and crisis intervention services to students dealing with a variety of concerns.
- Facilitate therapy groups and workshops on topics relevant to student well-being and development.
- Collaborate with campus partners, including academic advisors, residential life staff, and student organizations, to promote holistic student support.
- Participate in outreach and prevention efforts, such as mental health awareness campaigns and wellness events.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records, adhering to ethical and legal guidelines.
How to Qualify:
- Hold a current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Possess a master's degree or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the unique challenges and mental health concerns facing college students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students and collaborate with a diverse campus community.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices and brief therapy models suitable for a university counseling center setting.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage a diverse caseload.
Compensation and Benefits:
