Seeking a Fully Licensed Mental Health Therapist to Join Our School Counseling Center in Maryville, TN

At our thriving school counseling center, we are dedicated to prioritizing the mental health and well-being of our student community. Our team of licensed therapists plays an integral role in delivering comprehensive mental health services and fostering an environment on campus that promotes personal growth and academic success.

Joining our team as a licensed therapist comes with the added incentive of a sign-on bonus.

This is a full-time position with regular business hours, occasional evening availability, and flexibility during peak periods.

Our school counseling center offers a dynamic and collaborative environment, where you will work closely with students, faculty, and staff. Your primary workplace will be on campus, making use of state-of-the-art facilities and resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct intake assessments and screenings to evaluate the mental health needs of students and determine appropriate treatment options.
  • Provide short-term individual counseling and crisis intervention services to students dealing with a range of concerns.
  • Facilitate therapy groups and workshops focused on topics relevant to student well-being and personal development.
  • Collaborate with various campus partners, including academic advisors, residential life staff, and student organizations, to promote comprehensive student support.
  • Engage in outreach and prevention efforts, such as mental health awareness campaigns and wellness events.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records, adhering to ethical and legal guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • An active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the unique challenges and mental health concerns faced by college students.
  • Showcase excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students and collaborate with the diverse campus community.
  • Possess knowledge of evidence-based practices and brief therapy models suitable for a university counseling center setting.
  • Display the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage a diverse caseload.
