Full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - Join Our Special Education Program Mental Health Team in Winchester, CT

Are you a compassionate and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) seeking a meaningful and challenging role? Our Special Education Program is seeking a dedicated professional to join our Mental Health Team.

Our team specializes in autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and trauma-informed care. You will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with diverse special needs by providing essential mental health services within our unique and supportive educational environment.

Work Schedule:

- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

- Occasional evening shifts may be required.

- Rotating weekends may be scheduled.

- Some on-call availability may be necessary.

Salary:

$80,000 to $100,000 per year

Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for students with diverse special needs.

- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, focusing on mental health issues, emotional well-being, and successful integration into the school community.

- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions for ASD, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, ADHD, and trauma.

- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to facilitate personal growth, emotional regulation, and effective coping strategies.

- Collaborate with educators, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to ensure holistic care.

- Offer crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies.

- Provide psychoeducation to students and families about mental health conditions and available resources.

- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and staff development activities.

- Stay current with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines.

Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

- Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state.

- Two years of post-licensure experience preferred.

- Comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and trauma-informed care.

- Proficiency in conducting mental health assessments, diagnosing conditions, and formulating treatment plans.

- Experience in delivering individual and group therapy using various therapeutic approaches.

- Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Sound judgment and commitment to professional boundaries and ethics.

- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer proficiency.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
