Full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist Needed at Our Psychiatry MD Office in Lorain, OH
We are seeking a compassionate mental health therapist to join our team, providing specialized mental health care to individuals affected by trauma.
Our outpatient office is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for trauma survivors. We specialize in treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Some flexibility in scheduling may be required based on patient needs.
Pay:
$80,000 to $104,000 per year

Responsibilities:

Conduct trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history and identify appropriate treatment approaches.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery and resilience-building.

Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

Deliver individual and group therapy sessions to help patients process trauma, develop coping strategies, and promote healing.

Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other professionals to ensure integrated care for patients.

Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies.

Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources.

Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care.

Stay up to date with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.
Qualifications:

Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

Current and valid licensure as an LISW, LPCC, or LIMFT in the state.

2 years of post-licensure experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-building approaches.

Experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.

Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.

Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
