Full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist Needed to Join Our Outpatient Psychiatric MD Practice in Darby, PA
Our dynamic psychiatric office is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team of mental health experts. We specialize in providing comprehensive care for individuals with various mental health conditions, including anxiety, mood, personality, and trauma-related disorders. Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Occasional evening shifts may be required.
- Some flexibility in scheduling may be necessary to accommodate patient needs.
Salary:
$75,000 to $100,000 per year

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate patients' psychological well-being and determine appropriate treatment approaches.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to patients' specific needs and diagnoses.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions using various modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic therapy.
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to address patients' emotional concerns, promote personal growth, and enhance coping skills.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for patients.
- Assist in crisis intervention and offer support during mental health emergencies.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and professional development activities.
- Stay up to date with current research, best practices, and relevant regulations in the field of mental health therapy.
Qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state.
- Two years of post-licensure experience preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and trauma-informed care.
- Proven ability to conduct thorough mental health assessments, make accurate diagnoses, and develop effective treatment plans.
- Experience in delivering individual and group therapy using a variety of therapeutic approaches.
- Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications.
- Capacity to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team while maintaining professional boundaries and ethical standards.
