Seeking a Qualified Mental Health Therapist to Join Our Integrated Care Team at a Psychiatrist MD Office in Annapolis, MD

As an integrated outpatient care practice, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health services to individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in supporting individuals on their path to recovery and holistic well-being.
You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide integrated care to individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based therapies tailored to address both mental health and substance use concerns. Your expertise will contribute to breaking the cycle of co-occurring disorders and helping individuals to achieve sustainable recovery.
Work Hours:
Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Some evening hours might be required on a rotating shift based on appointments
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and substance use concerns, identifying the presence of co-occurring disorders.
- Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that address both mental health and substance use needs, incorporating evidence-based interventions.
- Deliver individual and group therapy to help clients develop coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation techniques.
- Coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists, to provide integrated and holistic treatment.
- Conduct regular substance use monitoring and engage in motivational interviewing techniques to support clients in their recovery journey.
- Provide education to clients and their families about the interplay between mental health and substance use disorders and the importance of treatment compliance.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatment progress, interventions, and referrals in accordance with ethical and legal guidelines.
- Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and trainings to enhance knowledge and skills in co-occurring disorder treatment.
Qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC or LCSW-C in the state.
- Proficiency in evidence-based therapies for co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
- Strong understanding of the interplay between mental health and substance use disorders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
