Full-time Mental Health Counselors Wanted at Hospital Counseling Center in Fruitland, Idaho

We are a dynamic counseling center based in a leading hospital dedicated to fostering the mental health and well-being of our diverse patient community. Our team of licensed therapists plays a crucial role in delivering comprehensive mental health services and creating an environment that promotes personal growth and overall wellness.

Qualified therapists who join our team will receive a sign-on bonus.

This is a full-time position with regular business hours. Occasional evening availability and flexibility during peak periods may be required.

Our counseling center offers a collaborative and vibrant setting, where therapists closely collaborate with patients, medical professionals, and support staff. The majority of your work will take place on-site, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities and abundant resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to evaluate the mental health needs of patients and determine appropriate treatment plans.
  • Provide short-term individual counseling and crisis intervention services to patients facing a wide range of concerns.
  • Facilitate therapy groups and workshops that address topics relevant to patient well-being and personal development.
  • Collaborate with various hospital departments, including medical teams, patient support services, and community organizations, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Engage in outreach initiatives and preventive efforts, such as mental health awareness campaigns and wellness events.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

Qualifications:

  • Active state license: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the unique challenges and mental health issues prevalent among hospital patients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with a diverse medical community.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and brief therapy models suitable for a hospital counseling center environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting, manage a diverse caseload, and prioritize tasks effectively.
