Full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist Needed at Our Psychiatry MD Office in Long Branch, NJ

We are seeking a compassionate mental health therapist to join our team, providing specialized mental health care to individuals affected by trauma.

Our outpatient office is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for trauma survivors. We specialize in treating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. We offer a sign-on bonus to welcome you to the team.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Some flexibility in scheduling may be required based on patient needs.

Pay:

$80,000 to $104,000 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma history and identify appropriate treatment approaches.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery and resilience-building.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions to help patients process trauma, develop coping strategies, and promote healing.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other professionals to ensure integrated care for patients.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies.
  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care.
  • Stay up to date with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state.
  • 2 years of post-licensure experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-building approaches.
  • Experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
