Seeking a Compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to Join Our Psychiatrist MD Practice in Prairie Village, KS

Do you have a passion for helping individuals on their journey to mental health recovery? We invite you to join our transformative healing team in our psychiatrist MD outpatient office.

Our practice focuses on supporting individuals with various eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorder. By utilizing evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), you will assist clients in developing healthier relationships with food, body image, and self-esteem.

Sign-on bonus available.

Work Schedule:

Regular business hours, Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM-4:30 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' eating disorder symptoms, co-occurring mental health conditions, and treatment needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and collaborate with clients to set achievable goals for recovery.
  • Provide evidence-based therapies for eating disorders, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
  • Facilitate therapy sessions to address clients' distorted beliefs about body image, food, and self-worth.
  • Assist clients in developing healthy coping mechanisms, emotional regulation skills, and strategies to resist disordered eating behaviors.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to coordinate care, ensure continuity of treatment, and address clients' holistic needs.
  • Offer psychoeducation to clients and their families to enhance understanding of eating disorders and promote a supportive recovery environment.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clients' progress, treatment plans, and therapy sessions in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge in eating disorder treatment.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state.
  • Expertise in evidence-based therapies for eating disorders, such as CBT, DBT, and ACT.
  • Strong understanding of the complex nature of eating disorders and co-occurring conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients.

Pay and Benefits:
