Full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist Wanted for a growing psychiatrist outpatient office in Indio, CA

If you are a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Therapist looking to make a difference in the lives of patients with complex medical and psychiatric needs, join our integrated care team in our psychiatrist MD outpatient office, where we provide comprehensive mental health services alongside medical professionals.

Our practice specializes in serving patients with co-occurring mental health and medical conditions, such as chronic pain, autoimmune disorders, and substance use disorders. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with medical providers and deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support patients' overall well-being.

We offer a sign-on bonus.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Occasional evening shifts may be required based on patient needs.

Pay:

$75,000 to $100,000 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments, considering the impact of medical conditions on patients' mental well-being.

  • Develop and implement integrated treatment plans, addressing both psychiatric and medical needs.

  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based approaches tailored to patients' unique circumstances.

  • Collaborate with medical providers to ensure coordinated care and effective treatment outcomes.

  • Offer crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies.

  • Educate patients about the connection between mental health and physical well-being, empowering them to manage their conditions.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

  • Actively participate in team meetings, case conferences, and interdisciplinary care planning.

  • Stay up to date with relevant research, best practices, and advancements in integrated care.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Current and valid licensure as an LPCC, LCSW, LP, or LMFT in the state.

  • Proficiency in addressing the mental health needs of individuals with co-occurring medical conditions.

  • Experience delivering integrated care and collaborating with medical professionals.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries, adhere to ethical guidelines, and ensure patient confidentiality.

  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications.

  • Strong ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
