Seeking Full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist for Our Multicultural Outpatient Psychiatry Office in West Mclean, VA

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Some flexibility in scheduling may be required to accommodate patient needs.
Pay:
$70,000 to $100,000 per year

Responsibilities:

Conduct culturally sensitive mental health assessments to understand patients' unique experiences and develop appropriate treatment plans.

Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individual patients, considering their cultural and personal backgrounds.

Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address patients' mental health concerns and promote resilience and well-being.

Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.

Offer crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies.

Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources available to them.

Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Actively participate in case conferences, team meetings, and cultural competency training sessions.

Stay informed about current research, best practices, and relevant cultural considerations in mental health therapy.
Qualifications:

Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

Current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST in the state.

Deep understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment approaches, and cultural competence in therapy.

Experience delivering individual and group therapy using culturally responsive and inclusive approaches.

Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.

Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications.

Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries, ethical guidelines, and confidentiality.

Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
